 <li>The Legacy: BA-1 is inspired by a compact 1980s synth characterized by its toy-like design and gritty sound. Despite its diminutive size, it made a significant impact on the music scene but somewhat evaded mainstream attention. The original instrument served as a clandestine weapon for creating lively synth textures among some of Sweden's most accomplished pop producers over the past two decades. Furthermore, it was instrumental in shaping the sound of 1990s digital dancehall and cherished by the indietronica movement for its raw lo-fi appeal. Since the original hardware had never been accurately translated into software form, we chose it as the basis for our inaugural synth endeavor.</li>
 <li>The Sound: Adhering to our motto "it’s an evolution, not an emulation," we meticulously reproduced the hardware's characteristics before enhancing it with new features for added versatility. With additions like a second analog-modeled oscillator, FM capability, increased polyphony, and more, we effectively broadened the sonic horizons of the original without compromising its distinct sound signature. In addition, BA-1 allows users to deplete the battery life, manipulate circuitry, and utilize the integrated speaker - offering an authentic lo-fi ambiance typically associated with hardware instruments.</li>
 <li>The Effects: Recognizing our forte in effects processing, we've equipped BA-1 with an FX section that could stand alone as a separate plugin. Drawing inspiration from budget rack-mount gear of the 1980s era, this effects chain encapsulates the lo-fi allure of home studios during that period. The overdrive effect is modeled after a guitar pedal, while the delay, reverb, and chorus effects are inspired by affordable yet remarkable digital rack processors. In BA-1, effects aren't merely an add-on but an integral part of its sonic identity.</li>
 <li>The Simplicity: BA-1 boasts a straightforward yet remarkably customizable interface. Our meticulous parameter tuning ensures that all settings hit the sweet spot precisely. This meticulous attention results in an engaging programming environment where adjusting BA-1 becomes an enjoyable experience that frequently leads to new patch creations. Furthermore, if simplicity isn't yielding results quickly enough, the intelligent 'Re-Gen' function is at your disposal. Activate Re-Gen, and BA-1 will autonomously generate fresh and musically coherent patches with each click.</li>
